What can I say except Thank You Panhandle! You have outdone yourself. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last October, and the outpouring of love and support has been there for me from the very start. First from my co-workers at KGNC AM, KGNC FM, and The Eagle after my surgery, they took care of me and my family during Thanksgiving by making dinner for us. They called, sent flowers and came to my house to check up on me. Listeners sent me emails to show their support and shared their stories of their battles with cancer. To this very day, almost daily I get phone calls from listeners who ask how I am doing.

Sunday, June 22nd, is a day I will never forget. I want to extend a special Thank You to Neysa, Lynn, Christina, Marty, and all the staff that put on a bike run for me. It was the most amazing day. Outside of a dealership, I have never seen so many motorcycles in one spot. It was beautiful.

People I've never met would come up to me to hug me and say encouraging things like "we are here for you, anything you need, call me, and we love you!" Never in my life have I felt so loved. Everywhere I went, someone was shaking my hands or hugging me. There were even several kisses. I saw friends, friends of my dad, my brother, and friends of friends there to support me. My dad, who some know is not ever at a loss of words, was. He was amazed at the support. People he knew from the VFW were there to show their support. Nurses that have helped me were there. My extended family, Faedra, Christian, Ray, Lee, David, and Annette were there. It was a party. A party to celebrate life.

The Bike Run itself was an adventure. Thanks to Mike Shannon for asking me to ride with him. Thank you too Angie, Mike's girlfriends, for letting me ride with him.

I have to say there was some extremely funny moments too. I had to have a bandana tied tightly on top of my head because I wore a wig. I wanted to make sure that it stayed on while riding. I was afraid if it blew off, it would hit another rider or one of the cars following us. There were a few times I thought it was coming off, too. Why did I even wear it? I told my friends, I have a sensitive head and it was hot. Right. I didn't want to lose one of my favorite wigs.

There was also an accident. My heart goes to Anna Trevino. She was out to support me and while riding, she had a tire blow out and she was thrown from her bike. She is now in the hospital. My prayers are with her and hope she has a speedy recovery.
Again, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who showed their support and love to me. See you at next year's bike run.
Thank You,
Lani Clark
